A group of Jews asked permission to visit the Prophet (and when they were admitted) they said, "As-Samu 'Alaika (Death be upon you)." I said (to them), "But death and the curse of Allah be upon you!" Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)said, "O 'Aisha! Allah is kind and lenient and likes that one should be kind and lenient in all matters." I said, "Haven't you heard what they said?" He said, "I said (to them), 'Wa 'Alaikum (and upon you).'

I asked Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)said, "O Allah's Apostle! Should the women be asked for their consent to their marriage?" He said, "Yes." I said, "A virgin, if asked, feels shy and keeps quiet." He said, "Her silence means her consent."

The Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him) said,

"Remember more often the destroyer of pleasures – death.”

At Tirmidhi Hadith Number 579 from Riyad us Saliheen Volume 1 Chapter 65 Narrated by Abu Huraira (r.a.)

Usama approached Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) onbehalf of a woman (who had committed theft). The Prophet (may peace and blessings of Allah shower on him) said,

"The people before you were destroyed because they used to inflict thelegal punishments on the poor and forgive the rich. By Him in Whose Hand my soul is! If Fatima (the daughter of the Prophet) did that (i.e. stole), I would cut off her hand."

Subhan Allahil-'Azim."

Narrated by Ibn Umar (Radhiallaho anho):
I heard 'Umar saying, "Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said to me,

"Allah forbids you to swear by your fathers."

Umar said, "By Allah! Since I heard that from the Prophet, I have not taken such an oath, neither intentionally, nor by reporting the oath of someone else."
