On the authority of Anas, who said: I heard the messenger of Allah say:

Allah the Almighty has said: "O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as its."

Related by Al-Tirmithi, who said that it was a good and sound Hadith.

"Counsel me". He said : " Do not become angry". The man repeated [his request] several times, and he said: "Do not become angry ".

In the Sunan of Abu-Dawud
Book 25, Number 3634:
Narrated AbudDarda':

Kathir ibn Qays said: I was sitting with AbudDarda' in the mosque of Damascus.

A man came to him and said: AbudDarda, I have come to you from the town of the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) for a tradition that I have heard you relate from the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him). I have come for no other purpose.

He said: I heard the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) say: If anyone travels on a road in search of knowledge, Allah will cause him to travel on one of the roads of Paradise. The angels will lower their wings in their great pleasure with one who seeks knowledge, the inhabitants of the heavens and the Earth and the fish in the deep waters will ask forgiveness for the learned man. The superiority of the learned man over the devout is like that of the moon, on the night when it is full, over the rest of the stars. The learned are the heirs of the Prophets, and the Prophets leave neither dinar nor dirham, leaving only knowledge, and he who takes it takes an abundant portion.

May Allaah keep us all on the Path of knowledge Ameen.

And on the authority of Wabisa bin Mabad, may Allah be pleased with him, who said:

I came to the messenger of Allah and he said: "You have come to ask about righteousness ?" . I said:" Yes." He said: "Consult your heart. Righteousness is that about which the soul feels tranquil and the heart feels tranquil, and wrongdoing is that which wavers in the soul and moves to and from in the breast even though people again and again have given you their legal opinion [in its favor]."

A good hadith transmetted from the Musnads of the two Imams, Ahmed bin Hanbal and Al-Darimi, with a good chain of authorities.

Narrated by Abu Huraira (Radhiallaho anho):
I said: "O Allah's Apostle! Who will be the luckiest person, who will gain your intercession on the Day of Resurrection?" Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said: O Abu Huraira! "I have thought that none will ask me about it before you as I know your longing for the (learning of) Hadiths. The luckiest person who will have my intercession on the Day of Resurrection will be the one who said sincerely from the bottom of his heart "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah."

And 'Umar bin 'Abdul 'Aziz wrote to Abu Bakr bin Hazm, "Look for the knowledge of Hadith and get it written, as I am afraid that religious knowledge will vanish and the religious learned men will pass away (die). Do not accept anything save the Hadiths of the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam). Circulate knowledge and teach the ignorant, for knowledge does
not vanish except when it is kept secretly (to oneself)."

It is narrated that the Prophet (pbuh) said: Modesty and restraint in speech are two affects of true faith, while foul talk and [adorned] rhetoric are two affects of hypocrisy.


Notes on the Text of the Narrative:

This narrative or a part of it, with minor variations, has been reported in Tirmidhiy (narrative no. 1950) Ahmad ibn Hanbal (narrative no. 21280), Ibn Abi Shaybah (narrative no. 30468), Abdul Razzaq (narrative no. 30468) Bayhaqiy (narrative no. 20597). The preferred text, except where otherwise mentioned, is the one reported in Ahmad ibn Hanbal (narrative no. 21280).

The same implication has also been conveyed in slightly different words, as follows:

������ �� ������� �������� �� ����� ������� �� ������ ������� �� �����

Hayaa (i.e. modesty) is a part of Iman and Iman shall be rewarded with Paradise. Foul talk is a part of neglect [towards God] and neglect [towards God] shall be rewarded with Hellfire.

This narrative has been reported in Ibn Maajah, narrative no. 4174.
