Warning against Narrating without VerificationAb� Qat�dah radiall�hu �anhu relates that the Messenger of All�h sallall�hu �alayhi wa sallam said:

�Beware of reporting too much from me. He who reports from me, then let him not say except that which is true. So he who attributes to me that which I did not say, then let him take his place in the HellFire.�

Sah�h: Related by Ibn M�jah (no.35), at-Tah�w� in Mushkilul-?th�r (1/172) and others. It was authenticated by al-Alb�n� in as-Sah�hah (no.1753).

`Ammar bin Yasir (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: I heard Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying, "Prolonging Salat (prayer) and shortening the Khutbah (religious talk) indicate the religious knowledge of the person. Make your Salat long and your sermon short.''[Muslim].

On the authority of Abu Hurairah (radiAllaahu 'anhu) who said: The Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

Part of the perfection of one's Islaam is his leaving that which does not concern him.


A Hasan (Good) Hadeeth which was related by at-Tirmidhee and others in this fashion.
