Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A bedouin urinated in the mosque and some people rushed to beat him up. The Prophet (PBUH) said: "Leave him alone and pour a bucket of water over it. You have been sent to make things easy and not to make them difficult.''

`Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: I said: "O Messenger of Allah! We consider Jihad as the best deed, should we not then go for Jihad?'' The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "The best Jihad for you women is Hajj Mabrur (i.e., one accepted by Allah).''

Sahih Bukhari
Volume 5, Book 57, Number 62:
Narrated 'Aisha:
The Prophet called his daughter Fatima during his illness in which he died, and told her a secret whereupon she wept. Then he called her again and told her a secret whereupon she laughed. When I asked her about that, she replied, "The Prophet spoke to me in secret and informed me that he would die in the course of the illness during which he died, so I wept. He again spoke to me in secret and informed me that I would be the first of his family to follow him (after his death) and on that I laughed."

Imam Ahmad recorded from Wahshi bin Harb from his father from his grandfather that a man said to the Prophet , "We eat but we do not feel satisfied.'' He said:
Perhaps you are eating separately. Eat together and mention the Name of Allah, and He will bless the food for you.
It was also recorded by Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah. Ibn Majah also recorded that Salim reported from his father from `Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah said:
Eat together and not separately, for the blessing is in being together.

This is discipline, in addition to the command to think well of people, i.e., if something unbefitting is mentioned about good people, then one should think well of them, and not feel towards them anything but good. Then if a person has any unsuitable thoughts about them, insinuated into his mind and imagination by Shaytan, he should not speak about that, for the Prophet said:
Allah will excuse my Ummah for anything that occurs to their minds, so long as they do not speak about it or act upon it.
This was reported in the Two Sahihs
[note: I thought it would be nice post the hadeeth in Arabic also, but unfortunately blogger doesn't seem to take them, it just printed out a question mark for each letter]

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The best of you are those
who are slow to anger and swift to cool down...Beware of anger, for it is a
live coal on the heart of the descendants of Adam."

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Two matters are signs of disbelief on the part of those who indulge in them: Defaming and speaking evil of a person's lineage, and wailing over the dead.''
[Muslim].
Commentary: Both the sins mentioned in this Hadith are such that if a Muslim thinks them lawful and still commits them he will become a Kafir. To defame someone's lineage means to disgrace or humiliate somebody by saying to him or to her: "Your father belongs to such and such profession'' or "Your mother is such and such / so-and-so'' or "You are a weaver, blacksmith, laundrer, cobbler, etc.''
Mourning and wailing means expressing qualities of a deceased person through weeping, crying and lamenting loudly. Imam An-Nawawi said that such qualities are attributes and acts of the disbelievers and practices of the pre-Islamic period, or Jahiliyyah.
[Note: Feeling sad when someone dies is obviously human feeling that you can't stop, but what is forbidden is excess crying and wailing, which a person can control if they chose to]

Allah's Apostle came to Medina and the people used to pay in advance the price of fruits to be delivered within one or two years.
