According to Anas ibn Malik, when God's Messenger PBUH said,

'Help your brother, irrespective of whether he is the oppressor or the oppressed,'
a man said,
'O Messenger of God, I can help the oppressed, but how can I help the oppressor?'
The Prophet PBUH replied,
'Stop him from committing an act of oppression. That in iteself is a form of help.'

These are notions lacking in many of today's most vehement arguments -- between nations, between neighbours, between faiths.

When the oppressors have so much blood on their hands it is easy to forget that more blood will take us only further from God.
